I am a little upset, because today is the day that I was supposed to do the living room reveal. I was supposed to get my final piece to my living room yesterday and then I was going to reveal today. BUT my little rainy town decided that getting snow would be better. I do not approve. So all post services were suspended for day…our town falls apart. It is ridiculous! So today, instead of seeing a living room reveal ( I am sorry). I am going to be showing you around my dream home.
We all have a dream home right? Whether we are in that home or not. We ALL have a home that we deem as “making it big.” Some of our dreams our realistic, but difficult and others are completely unrealistic (hehe we all have those). I am the queen of dreams! BUT today I am going to show you my dream home that is something that might actually be attainable one day.
So welcome to my “dream” home tour!
So here is it is my home. Big and Beautiful! I love how unique this is! I love the colors, the brick, the juleit bacolony, and the castle tower! Beautiful! This is wonderful!
So then we walk into the house to the beautiful entryway! I am obsessed with the gorgeous light! My husband doesn’t like these lights because he said he thinks it looks like an “atom.” But whatever. He doesn’t get a say. Love you honey. I also LOVE these floors! I can’t get over them.
In my entry way I want an entry way table. And I would also like to decorate it in “Modern Farmhouse” Decor. I love everything about this. I think instead of the “P” though I would definently have to have a C. I love the lantern and the magnolia wreath. Such a cute way to bring character to an entry way.
The first room off of the front door has to be my office. I have always wanted an office to work on my writing, stories and my blogging. It would be great to have a place that I could shut the doors with french doors.
My husband is a “gamer” and LOVES his computer stuff and so I would have to have a work space that would be two computer friendly. I love the two serpeate space, the shelves above and that light…oh my gosh that light fixture!!! I would love that table in the middle to work on my crafts and other projects.
Deliciously Organized has a very cute and organized section that I would love to have in my office.
In addition to my personal office I would also like an area near the kitchen that my kids could have a place to work on their homework, but I could still be watching them so I could be there to help in needed. I would love to have a little room that my kids could have a place like this to work.
In my home I would like two seperate living spaces. I need a television room that has most of our living happening. And I need this to be attached to the kitchen. This is the room that the kids can bring out their toys and do their thing.
This room brings so much color, organization and can be a fun place for our family to spend time together. I think would chance the flooring and then I would add some cubies off to the side where the kids can have their toys, but then we can throw their toys into the cubies when we want to look like we are organized.
In addition to the living room I would also like a room that is meant for guest. A room that is ALWAYS pretty and ALWAYS looking nice. The room that isn’t for playing or destroying.
I LOVE the design of this room! It is SO cute and gorgeous! But don’t pay attention to the kitchen in the back ground. I want this room to be off of the formal dining room, but not off of the kitchen. This room is where we would have formal guests over OR people from the church that we want them to believe that our whole house is that clean. I am not sure I would even change anything about this room except for adding two more of those beige chairs to add for more seating space.
So let’s talk about my dream kitchen. Very few people could actually say that they don’t like this kitchen. It is GORGEOUS. I would tinker with with decor a little bit, and I would change up the pendant lighting and then there is NO way that my hubs would ever let me have ALL of that white. So I think we would have to darken up the cabinets a little bit (maybe a grey) or paint the island blue. But I am obsessed with the layout, the cabinents and the window of the sink! I could look in the back yard at my kids playing.
And now the dining room. I would need a MUCH bigger table (maybe 10 seats). But I love the table, the chairs, the wall decor and that lighting is gorgeous. I wouldn’t want the pendant as low though. But I am truly in awe and this room!
Let’s talk bathrooms. So I want to have at least 2 and a half bathrooms. I need one bathroom for the guest, one master suite bathroom and then a kids bathroom.
So for the guest bathroom.
12 Oaks Blog has a simple little bathroom that looks like a cute oasis. I don’t think I would choose the blue Shiplap, but white shiplap would be super cute. I love the towel ladder. But in my guest bathroom I would not want a shower or tub and so I would use this ladder just for hand towels. I love having an opening sink storage so that the guest can grab what they need without feeling like they are digging through presonal possesions.
And now for the kids bathroom. I love this bathroom. I want at least four kids and so having two sinks is a complete MUST! And I absolutely LOVE the storage space that this room provides. I don’t know think that my husband would let me have all white, but I at least love the counters and I love how big it is!
And finally, the master bathroom. I have always wanted a really gorgeous bathroom. I would love a bathroom that I could escape from the life of being a stay-at-home mom and just get into a bath and watch television while watching some Gilmore Girls. Is that too much to ask? This is my dream. The big soaking tub (not claw foot: I hate claw foot) next to the big window. A walk in shower with two sprays and tall enough for my tall hubby. And then his and her sinks. OH MY GOSH! This is just amazing! And look at all of that walking room. No bumping into each other over and over. The only thing I would change would probably be the tile. I am not a huge fan of the tile. And then I don’t like the vanity chair or the curtains.
Of course each master suite needs a walk-in closet right? Well duh! So I have to add that into this dream tour.
The walk in closet has to be off of the bathroom so I have easy access to all of my clothes. One side of me and one side for my hubby. Of course you could add all of our shoes together and we wouldn’t have that much. Guess we will have to buy more shoes then huh!
I would love to have a big beautiful bedroom! And I would LOVE to have an incredible view! These windows are amazing! And that ceiling! Oh my gosh that ceiling!!! STOP RIGHT NOW! I need this room! The chairs in the corner are a little dated, but that can easily be changed. I love the curtaisn and the light fixture. This room is pretty much perfection.
So what about the kids rooms?
So we first have D’s Room. My oldest.
Then you have little C’s and Make believe M’s shared boys room.
And then make believe P’s girl nursery. Of course I would have to add some realistic baby toys in her little nursery. But I love the pallet wall and the large letters. Now that is adorable! the light fixture is a must as well.
We of course need a play room with our family of 6 (or more). Cubbies for organizing the toys, a tepee for reading, a little table for crafts and tons of room to play imagination. I also love the lettering on the wall.
Another extra room that I would like to have is a gym. I would love a gym to strengthen and tone.
I can’t use a treadmill. I hate treadmills. I know I would never ever run. BUT I would absolutely use a punching bag. Heck, I have a punching bag but I don’t know where to put it. Hence why I need a boxing gym. Now I could see myself working out in here.
I would also LOVE a pantry. Right now I have a pantry in the garage (which we love) and I would need one in the our dream home as well. This one is a little bit prettier than ours though.
Then there’s the laundry room! I would want to add a television in here too so I could watch some F.R.I.E.N.D.S while folding the thousands of pairs of pants that my children accumulate. The floors are so weird but I kind of actually love them. And then I love the clothes hampers. Each kids could have a clothes hamper OR we could separate the clothes into categories. I would definelty love a window in here AND a light fixture.
I would LOVE a basement! I would love to have a room for when my kids get older and they start having sleep overs and stuff they could just go downstairs and have their privacy without having their super uncool parents ruin their fun. But I would still be able to go check on them every once in awhile. My husband and I don’t drink, but the bar would be great for bottled waters, sodas and snacks for everything. I would probably want to an air hockey table as well. I LOVE air hockey!! This would be such a cool hangout with the teens. AND the big C even works for us!
Now, we mosey on into the garage. I like RYOBI tools, but my favorite are Dewalt. I would love to hang up all of my Dewalt tools onto my clip board and then have all of my tools organized. Including my Purple Toolbox. I would also need a work bench for my miter saw.
The toys in the garage would also need to be organized.
And then all of their bikes and ridable things need a home too right?
Okay everybody. The dream home is almost complete. We have almost seen every room in the house. But it would not be complete without seeing the beautiful back yard.
I don’t think I really have to explain this back yard except for BEAUTIFUL!
I love the outdoor grill idea too.
And then the space would not be complete without a play structure and a trampoline
Thank you for making it this far in the “dream” home tour. What would your dream home include? What would you add or take away from the dream home I chose?
I would LOVE to hear what you think!
